A ‘jubilee’ is an event in which the life and reign of a monarch is celebrated, usually worldwide. Typically, royal jubilees celebrate significant periods in monarchs’ reigns, and in British history, only four monarchs have experienced national jubilee celebrations. What is Holyrood Week?
Holyrood Week, also known as Royal Week, takes place annually when the reigning British monarchs visits Scotland for around a week and resides at the Palace of Holyrood House. Investiture – What is it and who is notable?
Each year, approximately 30 Investitures are held annually at Buckingham Palace or other royal residences, and around 2,600 people are personally invested by either King Charles III, or other members of the British royal family.
