The 2018 Sapphire Coronation Jubilee Range

To mark the Sapphire Coronation Jubilee of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II —65th anniversary — an exceptional range of sovereign coins was struck. Each limited-edition coin features a unique silhouette behind the words “I solemnly promise so to do”, which fades like a hologram when tilted. The half sovereign bears the silhouette from the 1977 Silver Jubilee, while the sovereign features the 1993 Ruby Jubilee portrait.
